Atharva Veda speaks about Sourashtra Land

Aatharva Veda

A book released by Sri Buvaneswari temple, Pudukottai on the occassion of Sri Bhakala Mukhi Gayathri samputita Brahmastra Swarupini Sri Bhakala mukhi Yagna.  This book narrates the Avatar of Godess Bhakala mukhi.

These above details found in Sankayana rishi tantra, and Bhakala mukhi Kavacham.  In these slokas, " On the PraLaya time, when earth covered with full of sea water, Infant Lord Hari sleeps on a floting leaf on sea water.  Thus the infant affraid with big waves of sea, the mother came as avatar on thursday night, at a pond of yellow water situated at Sourashtra.  She sung a lullaby for Lord Infant Hari and she make the sea stable.
She is called as mother with Stable Power (Stambanam).

From the above book's passage, it is evidenced that Atharva Veda describes Sourashtra desam.  After her avatar, the violant waves of sea and violant air became calm and Infant Lord Hari got relief from fear and starts to play and laugh.  She was called as "Brammastra rupiNi "
